Skype allows individuals to communicate via messagerie instantanée[1], voice chat and video calling, and additionally supports file transfers and conference calls. It also offers a debit-based service for calls to landlines and mobiles. Since its acquisition by Microsoft[2] in 2011, Skype has been integrated with other Microsoft products, providing enhanced features like high-definition video quality and Skype chat integration into Office software. Skype has continued to innovate, introducing features like background blurring in video chats using AI algorithms. Despite its vast capabilities, it does not support emergency calls in all countries.
